COURSE DESCRIPTION

B.Ed. stands for an undergraduate academic course known as Bachelor of Education. It is a course offered for those who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching and related fields. The B.Ed degree is necessary for teaching at the secondary (classes 6 to 10) and higher secondary (classes 11 and 12) divisions. The course is considered to be the bedrock of one of the most promising professions in terms of salary and job security besides the tremendous amount of respect that a teacher commands in the world.

The curriculum of the B.Ed course syllabus covers the basics of education, learner, and learning while exploring the innate relationship between a teacher and student. Values and ethics such as discipline, understanding, patience, and perseverance are inculcated in candidates to maximize their productivity.

The teaching profession is considered to be a very noble service to society as the opportunity to influence future generations is crucial to the pillars of society. The B.Ed course renders an aspirant competent in comprehending the psychological principles of growth and development while analyzing the individual differences of the students one teaches which facilitates a proper understanding of their demands and needs.

ELIGIBILITY

  1. Aspiring students should have passed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from a recognised board/university with at least 50% marks.
  2. Students need to appear in an entrance test conducted by the states educational bodies

Fees for B.Ed : Rs.35000/- per year

SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is applicable to the students belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC category. The scholarship is administered by the Government of Madhya Pradesh based on annual income of the family. Students with family income below Rs. 3,00,000/- are eligible to apply.

Documents required for any scholarship:

  • Attested photocopy of permanent caste certificate.
  • Original income certificate / attested photocopy of income certificate.
  • Attested photocopy of domicile certificate.
  • Attested photocopy of all mark sheets.
  • Attested photocopy of gap certificate.
  • Attested photocopy of admission slip
  • Declaration by family and student(Format available in college)
  • Candidates must have Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects in their 10+2.
